- A week after graduating college in May of 2009, I left New Hampshire for the sake of new employment and an old boy. Not long after I was shakily planted 1,800 miles away from my family and friends, I lost the newly found employment (not my choice), then lost the long-loved boy (heart shattering); basically, I lost everything that had inspired me to leave just about all that I ever knew and loved and move across the country. What did I do? I stayed in Denver. I found a new job. The boy and I are still close. I got a cat, and named him Biscuit. I've met some amazing people, and most have them have turned into friends. I'm still kicking, and I will continue to kick. I'm Ali. Welcome to my kick-fest.
